This photo isn’t staged. It’s real — a backyard, a cross, and behind it a community consumed by flame and smoke. And yet the cross is still standing.
That’s not an accident. That’s a picture of what we believe.
Fire takes houses. It takes trees, fences, everything we built with our hands. But it cannot take what’s underneath — the faith of the people who lived there, the neighbors who are already showing up to assess, grieve and come together, the God who was present in that yard before the flames and is present now in the ashes.
To everyone who lost something in this fire: we see you. We grieve with you. And we believe restoration is coming — not because the loss doesn’t matter, but because it doesn’t get the last word.
