This week in Kingdom Time, Mrs. Dixon, our gardening teacher, took our kids straight to the heart of it: authority isn’t random. God places people over us on purpose. First Him, then mom and dad, then the teachers and leaders He brings into our lives.
“Children, obey your parents because you belong to the Lord, for this is the right thing to do, honor your Father and Mother so it will go well with you and you will live long on the earth" Ephesians 6:1-3
Our pillar this week is OBEDIENCE. Not the kind that comes from fear. The kind that grows from knowing we belong to Him and He loves us.
In our Homeschool – Christian hybrid school, we believe part of raising children is helping them understand the proper place God has given authority in our lives. Our school day points children back to God, to their parents, and to a life of honoring those in authority over us.
